This is a quote by Neil Gaiman, an author of various novels and comic books. His 2002 novel, Caroline, was adapted into a stop motion film. I chose this quote because it holds a lot of truth in it's statement. When the author says this, what's he's saying is that whenever you hold a book, you hold an entire reality. You hold this entirely different reality, and the idea of some far-away land that to us could only be that of a dream. The quote represents an idea which to me represents a get away. The idea that whenever you hold a book in your hands and read, that you are dreaming and in a way, leaving this realm of reality. To me, books are way to forget about everything else that's happening, good or bad, and just be immersed in the mind and ideas of another author.
