KnowBC is an online database which holds in incredible detail, all of the significant geological and biological occurrences and characteristics.

This database can be used to better understand the landscape of Canada. With this information, one can learn how things in Canada came to be and study the effect of the landscape on Canadian life. This database could be good for Geology/Earth Sciences(understanding the landscape and what it is) and Geography(learning where we live and understanding why we live where we live). For example,



This is an extensive and comprehensible online resource which offers a variety of distinct topics for users to research. Canada in context gives readers information on a numerous variety of topic relating to and including Canada. These topics include but are not limited to: biography, geography, government, history, and social issues.

This resource has an impressive array of information. It holds an incredible variety of topics and sources for use, which cannot be limited to any certain subject. This database is useful in countless situations. The things that this database cannot help with are subjects related the maths or sciences as the resource focuses strictly on Canadian history.



Literary Reference Center is an online library database which provides users with information on large varieties of authors and their work across different genres. It is used to compare and contrast different books to help the reader gain an understanding of different perspectives.

This resource is incredible to use when looking for a different perspective. There are many authors so there will also be many differing opinions. This resource could be good for English and Socials. Literary Reference Center provides numerous literary works to read and various historical/political work up for interpretation.



Science in Context provides insight on current scientific topics. It looks to educate readers and give readers a deeper understanding of concurrent scientific events.

This resource is good for connecting an real life examples to the topics that students learn in their science courses.



Canadian literary centre features many written works. It provides collections of text articles, essays, book reviews, and literary criticisms on Canadian literature.

As an online resource, this is extraordinarily useful for students in English class. Students would find reviews and criticisms on books they read. Canadian literary centre proved comprehensive texts which help deepen a reader's understanding.

Curio.ca or CBC is online database which streams online medias. CBC streams educational videos, audio files, television, and radio shows.

This could is a video useful for Socials 11. 


This is online database which streams many educational videos on current scientific topics. It gives readers insight on concerns and matters that affect us regularly.

This could be a useful video for Science 10. It clearly details what one should do in the case of an emergency such as an earthquake.
